Simon Webbe
A former member of the boy band Blue who burst onto the pop music scene in 2001, releasing twelve singles, all of which were in the top twenty singles chart before eventually splitting up in 2005 after releasing three studio albums and several best of compliations.
Simon then started a solo career (as did all member of his former band) to moderate success, he so far released two studio albums and one live and a succession of singles which had proved successful. He has also branched out into acting and has appeared in several films
Simons girlfriend, Layla Manoochehri was recently in the X Factor, her band Girlband managed to get to the live finals of the X Factor 2008 before being voted off in the second week.
Simon was voted out on December 3rd see who is left in I'm a Celebrity 2008
Blue
Along with Simon Blue was made up of three other London boys Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa their first single entered number 4 in the UK charts, staying in the top ten for five weeks, furhter singles proved just as successful. Blues released colloborations with such esteemered musical artists as Elton John and Stevie Wonder, ironiclly their single with Stevie Wonder was their only single not to enter the top ten. Simons bandmate Anthony Costa appeared in I'm a Celebrity 2005.
As well as chart success Blue also did well in winning awards including 'Best Newcomer' at the BRIT Awards 2002, 'Best Newcomer' at the Smash Hits Awards, and 'Best Single', 'Best Newcomer' and 'Best Pop Act' at the Capital FM Awards.
