Katie Price
Jordan appeared in series 4 of I'm a Celeb and finished a respectable 5th place. Her appearance on the show helped to revitalise her career . She took part in the bush tucker trials without a second thought.
During the course of the show she developed a relationship with former pop star Peter Andre which flourished after the jungle. They married, had two children and appeared in several series for ITV, chronicling their celebrity life both in the UK and the US.
2009 has seen a very public and acrimonious divorce between the two with Peter Andre winning over public opinion with his self effacing style.
Katie's decision to return to the scene of the crime has been met with shock by commentators, maybe one publicity stunt too far. Echoes of Jade returning to Big Brother and ruining her career are valid.
Being accepted by the other celebrities may be as hard as being acepted by the viewers. Good viewing without doubt, good for the mother of two ? Maybe not !

Bushtucker Challenges
Not a Bushtucker challenge voted on by the public, but on her way in to join the rest she had the opportunity to earn gifts for the group by retrieving balls from a fish gut and cockroach ridden swamp.
Lots of squealing not as impressive as anticipated.
She chose to give the gifts to the other celebrities in return for all their luxury items.
Not the best start.

DEATHLY BURROWS
Katie gets voted for the second public bushtucker. Crawling through tunnels and fighting through walls surrounded by a wealth of bugs and nasties. Claiming claustrophobia and admitting to not being as 'ballsy' as she was six years ago she dithered at the entrance, fought nervously to gain 4 stars before the first "Get Me Out Of Here" scream as a torrent of water propelled her through the dark. Distressing Viewing.

CELEBRITY IN A BOTTLE
It was reported in the tabloids before Katie joined the other celebrities that the public could be unrelenting in their desire to see her humiliated. This is her third trial in three days and if she doesn't do better it's likely to continue. Maybe viewers are looking for value for money with her reported £450.000 fee.
Encased in a bottle with cockroaches, meal worms and crickets, Katie is asked six questions which give her the opportunity to win two meals per correct answer if she can unlock pieces of the cork with a giant corkscrew. Again a challenging task which she approached with guts. Won 6 stars

BACK TO SCHOOL
With a series of School themed challenges Katie was watched by her fellow celebrities on this live challenge. Visibly upset at the outset by being nominated for the third time in a row, she gained some confidence from the other contestants supporting her, maybe a bit too much for the viewers!. (The production company will not have been pleased in reviewing the live footage that the tapes on the tiny crocodiles mouths were visible!). Won 9 stars

HELL HOLES
Nominated for the fourth time in a row, Katie steps up for the next trial climbing up a cliff face, putting her hand in various holes to discover stars amongst the creepy crawlies and a series of puzzles - 6 holes, 2 stars in each hole. First six stars go to base camp, Katie's camp , any further stars won go to the Exile Camp.
No water in sight this time was clearly a bonus and no tunnels either should have made this less intimidating for Katie Price. The number of trials she has completed are clearly taking their toll however and she appeared very distressed at the outset. Her confidence increased as the trial developed. Won 9 stars

VILE VENDING
The Classic Bush Tucker Trial eating jungle fare. Katie's 5th trial and Kim's second.
Unable to compete with Kim,s iron gut Katie won 3 stars out of a possible 7. The 67 year old proved she was made of steel

CARLAMITY
We saw Katie in a Pumpkin Glass carriage at her famous wedding but for this challenge a converted golf kart took her through a series of obstacles with all the familiar jungle nasties. With no heights, no water and no enclosed spaces and 5 other trials under her belt , this was more bearable than most.
