Freddie Starr

68 year old star Freddie Starr has made no bones about the fact that he is joining I'm A Celebrity to raise his profile before a stand up show next year.  Scouser Freddie will certainly enter the camp as an entertainer and no one will allow him to forget the 'Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster' headlines that flew across the tabloids in 1986.  Expect references to said creature, 'Supersonic', should Starr have to perform any bushtucker trials.  His humour is sure to be his saviour in this environment although the conditions in the camp can turn the best comics into sour faces.

After a sterling display in the much feared bushtucker trial that involved eating all manner of beasties, Starr put Alpha male Wright to shame but had such an allergic reaction to what he had eaten that he was retired through ill health.
