Brian Paddick

Brian served as the Deputy Assistant Commissioner in London's Metropolitan Police Service up until his retirement from the Police in May 2007, he was the most senior openly gay police officer.

London Mayor Elections

Following his retirement he entered the world of politics and was chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of London in the mayoral elections held in May 2008. He was up against Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone and eneded up coming in third place with 9.8% of first preference votes.
