2011 Show and Contestants Betting Odds
DOUGIE POYNTER WINS!!!
Airtime is everything on this show and the celebrities that draw the cameras through humour, petulance, fear or diplomacy will do well. Mark Wright is a favourite with the camera crew and subsequently with the bookies, but this will work against him if the pressure mounts and he blows a fuse. With food at such a premium, it is guaranteed that those who cook will get camera time and those who laze in the background will be first for the chop. Wright Cotton and Poynter are doing well, but keep an eye out for Lorraine Chase who seems to have all the personality traits to continue do well.
Interestingly the cast have an average age of 47 with 4 of the celebs 60 years of age or over. The over 60's have certainly had an impact on these shows over the years, with Kim Woodburn, Jan Leeming and Tony Blackburn all doing well in the outback and it is intersting that this year Strictly has also incorporated the more mature line up with success. This may mean the demographic of the voters has changed will may effect the outcome, although it is still worth remembering that 23 yr old Dougie Poynter of McFly fame starts at the top of the bookies leaderboard, much in the same way as his colleague Harry judd has done on Strictly.
This year's contestants are, Anthony Cotton, Dougie Poynter, Mark Wright, Freddie Starr, Willie Carson, Jessica Lee Clement, Crissy Rock, Lorraine Chase, Fatima Whitbread and Stefanie Powers
As this years show begins we will have all the latest news and information on the progress of the stars in the jungle , to assist in making an informed punt with the bookies
